Why You Need A Great Headshot

For most business people these days an online presence is a must. In addition to your business website most business people handle some type of social media be it FaceBook, Twitter or LinkedIn. Of course it’s important that your brand remain consistent throughout—from print material to online.

Do you have a business portrait on your about page of your company website or is it merely words? How can a potential customer connect with you if you don’t first have at least an About page and then some type of portrait of you on there (an About Video is even better-see our business videos). More customers will feel a connection with you of some type if you have a portrait on your website. And of course this does need to reflect your brand (which I wrote about here).

When thinking of a business portrait what do you want to convey? First back up and decide it’s intended use—is it for your LinkedIn profile page? your About page? Or maybe something else? Author portraits are a segment of the business portraits we specialize in. Sometimes an author is a motivation speaker or business coach (like the portrait shown) and you want to convey a certain look. You may want a series of different images to portray your brand-one series for social media, another maybe for your blog and still another for your website or even book cover. Whatever type of portrait for business we can help make it a reality.

Above is a shot from the cover of Business Coach Jack Rand’s new book “Secrets of A Strategic Business Coach.” Jack came in for a business portrait about 4 years ago. We did a series of different looks for Jack so that he would have something for his website and social media profile pages. Jack liked his portrait so much it ended up on the cover of his new book.
