Every headshot clients asks about retouching. You want your image to look great. We do offer some basic retouching with every session as well as offering enhanced retouching for a per image fee. While we have some facial powder and hair spray on hand, we refer those clients who are interested to work with one of our Hair and Makeup artists.

Here is a basic run down of what we do and don't do automatically as part of your session package:

What We Do:

Lighten, darken image as needed

Reduce wrinkles and dark patches under eyes

Eliminate stray hairs

Erase blemishes or razor burn

Enhance the color

What We Don't Do Automatically:

Fix wrinkled clothes or collars

Remove logos or graphics from clothing

Change hair style or color

Replace color of lipstick or clothing

Distort natural features

We retouch each image by hand not just run it through a filter. While we do use a filter to finish off the look, we make sure your skin doesn't look like plastic but realistic.

Enhanced retouching, which is available for an additional fee can include whitening and fixing crooked teeth, adjusting ties, fixing wrinkled clothing, switching color of apparel, body sculpting, background changes and more.

While retouching has been around since the film days we use some of the same techniques in the digital era. Our goal always remains the same which is to capture as much as possible in camera. Authenticity and approachability are a huge part of marketing a business and we want your professional images to reflect that.

Anyone can take an image and add filters and background blur with the swipe of a finger. However if you want your images to stand out, hire a professional photographer to help you succeed in your session and create an amazing image that highlights your best features.
