Team Headshots and Group Photos

If you have a staff or a business team you work with many times you’ll get headshots for your team. More and more companies like showing off their staff or teams on their website. So in addition to headshots—either in studio or on location—we will take a group photo. 

Now group photos can be hard to plan for. With a headshot if someone misses they can always come to the studio to get a headshot and add to your other headshots on the website. But did you know that we can do team photos the same way? If fact we prefer to shoot teams individually then composite in post. Even if the whole team is gathered same day on photo day. 

Why do we do it this way? For a few simple reasons—one it creates a nice even lighting pattern on each team member. This isn’t as critical for a team of three but for larger teams it can be difficult. Reason number two is we can spread the team out instead of having to try to bunch them up in several rows in a tight space either in studio or at your office. But the biggest reason is if you staff has turnover—and what staff doesn’t—we can easily add or remove team members. 

We work with several businesses—from law firms, accounting firms, tech companies and financial services companies—on an ongoing basis. They send all their new team members to the studio and we photograph them for the team photo as well as a headshot. Then we update the team photos and everyone is happy. No having to regather everyone because a key team member left your company right after the group photo was taken.
