Here’s how you can really rock your headshot session:
Choice of Outfits
First—make sure you have some choices in outfits. If you’re doing the Basic Headshot you get one outfit in front of the camera but if you have a hard time deciding bring a few and we’ll help you select the right one. Of course if you’re doing more than the Basic Head Shot you need plenty of choices.
Are Your Clothes Wrinkled?
Make sure your clothing is ironed and not stuffed into a bag where it’s all wrinkled when removed. We have a steamer for last minute repairs but try to make sure your wardrobe for the most part looks camera ready.
What to Wear?
Men:
we recommend either a suit and tie or open collar dress shirt with a jacket. Avoid those wild patterned neon ties. If you prefer just a shirt/no tie or jacket then a solid color is best. If getting 3/4 shots (beyond the Basic Headshot) then remember dress pants if wearing a suit. Jeans and/or Khakis are okay for a casual look. Men make sure your tie is tied correctly and not wrinkled. Also pay attention to shirt collars—if your shirts are too large or too small it really shows in the portrait.
