While we do headshots of men and women--headshots for women, especially women over 40--are a speciality. If you're a woman in the workplace you know how important image is. Your headshot is no different. We will assist you with makeup --if you need help--we have access to great hair & makeup artists. As with every headshot session we do we will make wardrobe recommendations. Solid colors work the best as do 3/4 length or long sleeves. Darker colors are sliming. Jackets and scarves are helpful as well to round out a professional look and they can hide neck wrinkles. Jewelry is okay but don’t overdo it—think simple. You don’t want your jewelry to distract for your face. That’s why we recommend solid colors—crazy patterns can easily distract the viewers eye. Want to know more about what to wear? Go here.

Of course we will also assist with posing. Most people are not used to being in front of a camera. We understand this and can help you relax and look your very best. We won’t ask you to do something that doesn’t look natural. If you’re uncomfortable you will look it in the portrait. This goes for clothing as well—if you’re wearing comfortable work clothes you will look and pose much better.

Also it’s best to make sure you plan ahead for your headshot—stay hydrated,  get plenty of sleep and plan your session at a convenient time.
